My tutoring philosophy is based on empowerment. I try to help my students feel in control of their learning so that they can enjoy the process instead of dread it. I'm a compassionate, competent, and confident tutor in a variety of topics; I studied environmental biology and religion & politics, but have also cultivated skills in reading and writing. I'm a lover of nature, cities, and people and an avid reader of literature (Woolf, Borges, Calvino and Baldwin are a few of my favorite authors).
