I received my B.A. in Interdivisional Social Studies with a dual minor in Secondary Education and English as a Second Language from Regis University in Denver. I have always had a passion for education and have made it my career. With my free time I am an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast. I also love to travel, read a challenging book, and enjoy live music at great Colorado venues like Red Rocks and Telluride.
I have eight years experience as a social studies teacher while working at an International Baccalaureate High School. Over the course of my career I have taught History, World Geography, Civics, Economics, and English as a Second Language. I especially enjoy History and Geography. I also enjoy helping students develop their essay writing skills to help prepare them for their future college careers or to help prepare for an upcoming writing assessment.
As a tutor I am personable and patient but will push you to learn. I will help guide you toward additional resources to continue learning concepts and content. I look forward to working with you and helping you conquer your academic challenges!
