I am a designer and writer who loves helping solve tricky problems. As a Colorado girl, I grew up camping and fishing in the woods, but have found my “city girl” in Denver through the thrill of concerts, great art, and the diversity of interesting people. Since earning my Bachelor of Environmental Design degree in Architecture at CU-Boulder, I have worked in an interesting range of positions, from architecture firms to construction companies to non-profits. I’m fascinated by new cultures, trying new foods, and debating new ideas. My passion for diversity of thought and organizing ideas has been indispensable in teaching writing, public speaking, and research skills to gifted college students; helping struggling high-schoolers find confidence; and helping students of many ages communicate with greater clarity and eloquence. Tutoring gives me the chance to use my broad range of experiences to help students learn how to solve problems on their own, rather than find an individual answer. When a person knows how to analyze and approach a challenge, nothing is out of reach.
