I am a graduate of Indiana University. I received my Bachelor in French Studies in 2008 while working as an after-school French tutor. Since graduation, I worked in Paris, France as an 'au pair', where I cared for several children and provided tutoring to them as well. My focus in teaching is the French language as I studied the language extensively in school and gained better acquisition while working abroad. I have experience teaching French to beginners without any prior French lessons, and I have experience providing tutoring for students already taking a language class for which I provided supplemental lessons. In my experience helping students learning a new language, they seem to have the most fun and make the most progress when the lesson plan is structured yet fun. Approaching learning French in a non-intimidating, confidence-building way, a student is really able to make great strides. I believe firmly in personal empowerment through learning to communicate in another language, and am passionate about teaching French as a tool that any student, no matter the age or experience level, can utilize throughout their life.
