I received my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Geology from Whitman College in Washington state. I have currently applied to the Masters of Architecture program at CU Denver and hope to begin studying there Fall 2016. Since college, I have lived in Los Angeles, Portland, Austin, and now beautiful Denver, working with volunteers at various nonprofit organizations. I have a passion for helping people, teaching, and working to make the world a better place, even if only in small ways. I have always had a skill for understanding how standardized tests are put together, how to study and prepare for them, and how to navigate their questions and tricks. I am excited to share these skills with my tutoring students by helping them understand the tests, focus their study energy in the right places, manage their time well, and eventually feel confident in their knowledge of both the subjects and the test layout and strategies.
In my spare time I love to hike and backpack in the mountains and cross-country ski in the winter. I also enjoy drawing and painting, swing and blues dancing, and hula hooping. I am currently learning to rock climb, which is very exciting!
