I am a certified teacher in the areas of Spanish and mathematics. I have worked with students of various ages, including elementary, middle, high school, and adults attending community colleges. I have taught arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, Spanish, and French. I have experience tutoring on a one-to-one basis with students attending LAUSD. In addition I was a volunteer tutor for YMCA.
I assist students reaching their goals by meeting their needs. I incorporate differentiated lessons to meet the needs of each individual. I apply material and strategies that are engaging to the students, which can motivate them to learn. I use technology in the lesson plans, as well as to individualize tutoring.
My favorite hobbies are to read and to travel. I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction material so I can learn about things around the world. I love to travel because I like to meet people and learn about other cultures.
