After receiving my B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University, I traveled in SE Asia for two years. In Chiang Mai, Thailand I taught English at a language center to people of all ages and nationalities. I then taught science and math for 5th and 6th grade at a private Thai school.
During my travels I put my passion for wildlife to good use. I had the opportunity to interact with tigers, ride elephants, swim with sharks, and explore the jungles of SE Asia. I am now training to be a wildlife biologist. In addition to tutoring, I volunteer at the Lindsay Wildlife Hospital in Walnut Creek. I love science, sports, travel and wildlife.
I am a very patient teacher who understands all people learn in different ways. With children I like to use activities and games as well as multi-media to help spark their interest and understanding. With adults I like to give a more straight forward and practical lesson. I am friendly and knowledgeable about many subjects.
