I got my master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and my Bachelor’s degree in English literature. I also passed some courses of the PhD program in Education with a concentration on Literacy at Oklahoma State University before I moved to California.
My teaching interests and experience include literacy instruction, teaching composition, and reading at all levels from developmental to advanced, reading and writing pedagogies, English Literature, and teaching ESL courses at all skill areas. By providing students with tutoring services, my goal is to ensure that students receive the academic support they need to comprehend the course content and succeed in their classes. My academic goals are to utilize approaches to help students conceptualize literacy, help them realize their academic potential and strengthen their skills, assist underprepared students in their transition to postsecondary educational context, and help them develop their skills to be successful.
In my spare time, I enjoy surfing the Net and reading short stories and novels that gives me great pleasure after a long day work.
