Tutoring has been the fresh start of my current career. I started tutoring right after graduating from Van Nuys High School. I first tutored at Mathnasium of Burbank, followed by Los Angeles Valley College Math Tutoring Center. I worked at Mathnasium for 1.5 years, and I worked at LAVC for 1/2 a year.
I tutor math subjects starting from basic math all the way up to College Calculus 3. My favorite subject to work with, is more advanced math; since it offers more challenging problems, and succeeding these challenges along with the student is very pleasing.
I am a current college student, and my tutoring success has been due to my age allowing me to create friendly environment with students of lower age. I have learned many methods of tutoring, such as the Socratic method, which gives me the advantage of allowing the student to enlighten the subject through discovery. I am also experience with regular means of tutoring, which won't fail, if Socratic method fails for certain students. I am very friendly and show a huge interest in cars and video games, a thing every student can appreciate.
