I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and The Ohio State University. At UMass, I studied English and History, both with emphases on American literature and Culture. I also earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Ohio State. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at Indiana University, where I study Higher Education and am working on my dissertation. Between my years as a student, I worked professionally as a student affairs administrator; teaching, advising, and counseling college students. For several years, I taught college courses, and this year piloted an online class. As an instructor and tutor, I enjoy helping students with the writing process, literature, and history because I love storytelling. Coaching students through their learning processes, I employ a variety of techniques to meet students at their level and motivate through positive reinforcement.
