Learning a foreign language may seem challenging, especially in the beginning. Despite all of the grammatical rules and different word structures, learning a foreign language can actually be very enjoyable and rewarding. My approach is to make the language living and practical. I studied French and German in high school and throughout my college years. In addition, I spent several years studying, living and working in Europe. During those years, I was able to understand some of the cultural differences which also affect the way people speak. I believe it is also important to understand colloquial expressions, since this is the way people typically speak.
