Hi! I'm May and my day job is as an attorney focused on public land management and property transactions. I'm a graduate of New York University School of Law, where I focused on natural resources, property law and public policy, and of Mount Holyoke College, where I did my bachelor's degree in elementary education and sociology and completed a teaching licensure program. I did my student teaching in kindergarten, second- and sixth-grade classrooms, and have tutored elementary, middle and high school students. My work has been published in the Alaska Law Review and in Lemon Quarterly, an online quarterly magazine featuring reviews, personal essays and poetry. I'm an avid reader, and also enjoy hiking and gardening. Learning can and should be enjoyable, the keys to success are in perseverance, curiosity and trying new approaches until you find something that works for you!
