I am a graduate of The University of Maryland, College Park. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology & Criminal Justice. Throughout my time at UMD, I tutored many students in a number of different subjects, ranging from algebra and statistics to psychology and criminal justice. I have experience tutoring students of all ages and academic backgrounds. While I enjoy tutoring a wide array of subjects, my passion lies with numbers. Many times, math can be intimidating, especially in an academic setting. However, I firmly believe that when we apply academic concepts to practical, everyday scenarios, carrying out those once overwhelming calculations becomes second nature.
Additionally, I thoroughly enjoy helping students with their Standardized Test preparation. In life, measurable success is very rare. Standardized Tests provide an opportunity to measure our strengths and more importantly, identify our specific weaknesses. This proves invaluable not only for improving our scores, but also for future academic and career endeavors. We can then focus our attention on attacking those weakness, while continuing to improve on our strengths, ultimately constructing a well-rounded academic skill set.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball and lacrosse, attending music festivals, and challenging my friends to an, always enthralling, game of Monopoly.
