I am a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina. I received my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Motor Development and Health Fitness. Since graduating, I looked to further my education by attending physical therapy school at the University of Miami. My decision to pursue physical therapy as career has stemmed from my passion to help others in need and my own experience with injury and rehabilitation.
My experience as a tutor began in high school and has continued throughout college. In high school, I became familiar with tutoring middle school aged students in algebra, latin, earth science, and geometry. After entering college, I began tutoring many of my classmates in subjects such as Anatomy & Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Chemistry, and Biology. Being a physiology major and now physical therapy student I have a strong passion towards Anatomy & Physiology as well as Biomechanics.
When it comes to teaching style, I am a big proponent of real life application. I believe that the ultimate goal of learning is to use what we have learned in real life. Subsequently, this style seems to create a better learning environment and encourages students to stay motivated as well.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing soccer, spending time outdoors, and playing guitar. I am originally from Ohio, so I can really appreciate this year round warm weather.
