I graduated with Honors in 2014, from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. I hold a B.A. in English and Latin American Studies with a minor in Spanish. I greatly enjoy tutoring Literature, Reading, Writing, Public Speaking, and foreign languages because it gives me the opportunity to share my love of words and storytelling with students. I believe that language and stories are our greatest tools for helping young people to understand the world around them, express themselves, and develop a strong, important sense of empathy. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, teaching myself new languages, practicing yoga and acrobatics, riding my bike, laughing, reading, creating sculptures, and working on creative writing.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that each student brings their unique personality and learning style to a tutoring environment. It is important for a tutor to be able to create lessons that excite and intrigue their individuality.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session, we will get to know each other and establish a plan of action that suits a student's personal preferences before diving into the material.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Becoming an independent learner is important for a student, but first they have to gain confidence that they can learn independently and have the enthusiasm to do so.
