I recently graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and French Culture, Language, and Literature, with focuses in postcolonial literature (more specifically African and Maghrebi, respectively). During my last year at OWU, I worked as an intern and professional tutor at the university's Writing Center, where I worked one-one-one with students at all levels of writing competency and for all disciplines of study. This position also had a component that focused on the study of tutoring theory and practices. Though my tutoring experience is limited to English thus far, my more than eight years of study in French language, literature, and culture (including Francophone literature and cultures) has more than adequately prepared me with the knowledge to teach others. Aside from these academic interests, my hobbies include running, and yoga. I also love seeing indie movies at the local theatre, my most recent favorite being Birdman.
