I recently completed my Master's Degree at the Fletcher School at Tufts University where I focused on International Conflict Resolution and Development Economics. Before moving to Boston, I spent eight years teaching in Brooklyn and New Orleans. While in the classroom I primarily taught history, but also spent extended periods teaching math and English as well as certification courses for first-year teachers. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics at Tulane University. During my years as a teacher I had the opportunity to work as a tutor for many students who needed some additional help, whether getting ready for a test or working through some new math concepts, developing ideas for a paper or improving reading comprehension. As someone committed to education and the opportunities it creates, I appreciate the opportunity to work as a tutor, getting to know my students and connecting our lessons to their interests. When not keeping up with current events or reading books about history, I like to cook and take advantage of all the outdoor opportunities New England has to offer.
