I graduated from Cornell University in 2008 with a BA in Economics and have been tutoring high school students for almost 10 years now. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as being "a bad test taker" and that no one should let a bad test score dash their hopes of going to the college of their dreams.
My SAT scores are as follows:
Students are busier than ever these days, so I try to make sure my lessons and plans are EFFICIENT and EFFECTIVE while still tailoring each session to each individual student's needs.
Together, I work WITH students to:
1) Set attainable goals
2) Review/learn elements in mathematics, critical reading, and writing and apply this knowledge to the SAT format
3) Learn HOW to study effectively for the SATs
4) Manage stress, pressure, and pacing
I am a kind, patient yet firm instructor who really knows her subject matter and knows how to MOTIVATE students to actually do their share and practice!
