I graduated from Brown University in 2012 with a BA in Psychology. After graduation, I backpacked through Europe and explored my interests in organic farming and alternative living. In the process, I was referred to an internship program at an international boarding high school called Brockwood Park School located in Hampshire, UK. I spent the 2013-2014 school year living in England teaching a textiles course and exploring philosophy with my peers. The infamously gray English weather brought me back to my home state of California in September. My experience working at an English language school with international students inspired me to volunteer as an ESL tutor at the Pleasanton Library. Through this, I have been reminded how much I enjoyed working as a math and English tutor during high school and college. I have a genuine love for the elegance of knowledge and of mathematics in particular. However, I understand that not everyone feels this way, and my goal as a tutor is to help each student relate to the material in an easy and natural manner that takes into account the student's personal goals and interests. In my spare time I like developing skills of all kinds which currently include cooking, turning my backyard into an organic garden, tae kwon do, and studying the French language.
