I graduated from UC Berkeley with BAs in Mathematics (teaching concentration) and Music (composition focus). I’ve tutored privately around the Bay Area, and through the Math and MIDI programs at a local college. Math and music are the subjects of my expertise; I’m most passionate about calc, analysis, MIDI, music theory, and composition. Real number analysis and calc are the subjects that made me fall in love with math over and over again, and shaped me to become a more logical and thoughtful human being.
In addition, I tutor all levels of math up to (and including a few) upper division college courses, statistics, exam prep, musicianship, harmony, piano, jazz improvisation, composition, audio mixing, basic audio recording, and probably something related to these- just ask!
I joined the ranks of education with the intention of honing my students’ inner monologues to equip them with tools to navigate our ever progressing society.
Lectures are avoided; I leave the pen in the hand of the student, training them to reflect and apply their knowledge.
Through asking themselves questions, they develop confidence in their abilities to intake, utilize, and ultimately play around creatively with information, both known and new.
My professional freelance career projects include scoring music for film, commercials, online content, and games.
