I am a Yale University graduate with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Since first having started tutoring my peers in AP Biology in high school, I have soon moved on to experience the satisfaction of seeing my students grasp the subject material they once struggled with in areas like chemistry, math, and the SATs. Having been a student myself, I understand the anxiety and frustration of tackling a seemingly insurmountable, difficult subject material, and so, as a teacher, I believe it is absolutely necessary to start with the right learning environment. I always begin with topics the students feel comfortable with and then integrate new concepts into the students' existing knowledge so that we build a solid foundation in which the students not only will fully understand and even enjoy what it is they are learning but also provide the tools to be able to learn independently. Alongside tutoring, I enjoy playing tennis, reading sci-fi or fantasy novels, watching movies, and practicing piano.
