I am a graduate of Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey, with an AA degree in Liberal Arts. My area of concentration is foreign languages, mainly German. I have traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and have experience as an elementary and middle school substitute teacher. I am most passionate about teaching languages, and started my own program at a local New Jersey YMCA for German and Italian. My favorite pastimes include participating in cultural festivals in the metropolitan New York/New Jersey area including parades, film festivals, and other events that promote the arts. Before going to college for a degree I attained most of my skills through independent study, so I am well aware of the challenges that face new learners in many subjects. I enjoy the learning process, and look forward to assisting students with patience and resources to help them attain their academic goals.
