I recently graduated from the University of Chicago where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Since graduating, I have worked in veterinary medicine for the last two years and plan on pursuing my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine within the next two years.
I am comfortable tutoring students in all levels of math from arithmetic to pre-calculus. All of my former students have found my methods beneficial. I have tutored students in both middle school and college level math.
I love to help others master the material they struggle to understand by relating the material to other facets of their lives. My methods for doing this usually involve mapping out logical connections between ideas, making analogies to pop culture, and relaying the importance of new material to previously learned topics. In addition, I am thoroughly descriptive and patient. Rather than give students the answers to homework questions, I try to lead them in the correct direction of the right answer. I do this by asking questions and hinting towards the important tools needed to answer their original question.
In my free time I enjoy playing with my dog, baking delicious treats, and cheering on my favorite professional sports teams. I also enjoy running, swimming, and the occasional game of miniature golf.
