I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and a Master's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Massachusetts. I currently hold valid Missouri teaching certification in Mathematics and have more than twelve years of full-time experience teaching secondary and collegiate Mathematics. My favorite students are those who struggle with or do not enjoy Math. I believe that most students just need someone to help them break through to not only make success in Math possible, but enjoyable! TEACHING PHILOSOPHY / I believe there are several keys to being a successful Math student: A willingness to try, Parental support Communication, Organization and Access to the student's teacher/professor WHEN I'M NOT TUTORING / I am a father of a teenage son; we are both very active in Boy Scouts. Some of my favorite pastimes include being physically active (skiing, tennis, swimming, softball, hiking, canoeing and volleyball), photography, movies, music and reading. I like to travel and especially enjoy spending time in Maine, New Hampshire, Washington (state), Colorado and Quebec. I am active in community service and believe in paying it forward.
