I graduated from Northeastern University with my Master of Science in Biology with a project focus on circadian rhythms and neurobiology. Prior to my time there, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Connecticut. I have spent the past five years teaching undergraduate labs for Intro Bio, Marine Ecology, and Anatomy and Physiology. This has honed my ability to break down and explain complex topics in multiple ways in order to ensure that all my students could learn effectively. I have extensive experience working in a variety of lab environments and I am now turning my efforts towards becoming certified to teach high school science. I really enjoy teaching biology and I hope to pass that same love of the subject onto my students. Education shouldn't just be about memorizing the material. I think it's important to encourage an appreciation of and curiosity about the world around us and I strive to help my students see that as well.
