I want to give a smile to people. Since I was a child, life presented me with the idea of what I could do as a professional. One day I was walking hand in hand with my father, I was 4 years old. All of a sudden we get to the hospital where my father used to work. I found myself surrounded by what seemed to be hundreds of children my age; I got exited, but then I started crying. All these children had holes in their mouths and teeth. They suffered from cleft lip and palate. Several circumstances like this one have leaded me to desire becoming a dentist. Moreover, I'm planning to specialize in maxillofacial surgery. Ever since I came to the United States from my country Venezuela, I have been welcomed as an undergraduate by Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) and all the opportunities it has to offer. I recently graduated from NSU. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and completed my studies in three years. Currently I’m obtaining a Dental Assisting Degree at Concorde Carrere Institute. In a future I am looking forward into going into dental school.
I believe the courses I have taken have developed an excellent basis to continue my studies. I would constantly be involved in study groups, and helped my classmates succeed in our classes. Furthermore, there have been certain activities and on campus involvement which have granted me with more qualifications.
