I graduated from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a minor in Economics. I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Economics. I previously interned in an elementary school, helping students with math in a bilingual class. My favorite subjects are algebra and economics. I love math, which is why I chose to further my studies in economics; I wanted a discipline that was math involved. I would like to pass on my enthusiasm for math to students, or at the very least help them understand it. Math is used everyday, from balancing your budget to accruing interest on a credit card; for this reason and more, it is important that people understand it. My strategy for tutoring is to use real world examples of the material at hand. I have always been involved academically, from participating in the pentathlon in the sixth grade to participating in COSMOS my junior year in high school. Outside of academia I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. I am also an avid soccer and tennis player.
