My passion for teaching and training students to reach their full potential has always been a personal goal of mine. Over the years as I have taught and tutored students in the United States and abroad that passion has become stronger and I have been able to witness students' accomplishments.
My experience in teaching and tutoring includes a wide range of subjects. As an Economics Graduate student at the University of San Francisco I tutored fellow students in the subjects of Economics, International Finance, and International Development. I have also tutored students in a wide range of Mathematical courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and Advanced Algebra.
Over the past year I have taught English, Creative Writing, Grammar, and Business writing. I have worked with a wide range of students with different cultural backgrounds, different educational backgrounds, and different age groups. As a tutor I understand that every student learns differently and that a great tutor is able to teach a concept while meeting the needs of the student. This means that if a student is a kinesthetic learner they can still learn subjects that may not be thought of as traditionally "kinesthetic" friendly such as science and mathematics. As a tutor it is ultimately my goal to make sure that once a student's learning style is realized, the subject matter and problems will be presented to the student that caters to that style.
I have been able to develop the skills to catering to different styles by actually tutoring students in variety of subjects. In addition to tutoring students I have been involved in curriculum building projects for Universities overseas.
As an Innovation Team member I participated in developing course content for a course in Social Entrepreneurship. I helped cater the course to students at the American University of Madaba and Zarqa University. The course was built on the premise that it was a fully accredited course for entering freshman and would teach them real and valuable skills to make positive change in their communities, cities, country, and the world.
My experience in education and tutoring has allowed me to successfully help students reach their educational goals. Linked with my passion for education I know that every student will reach their goals with hard work and effort from the student and myself as an educator.
