As someone passionate about learning, I have always loved being a student. Albert Einstein's quotation "Any fool can know. The point is to understand" has been a guiding mantra for me throughout my education.
As a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife, I particularly love working with students pursuing their nursing - or other medical - degree. Having landed in the nursing profession as a second career, I understand how difficult it can be to return to school and particularly the sciences after time away. I earned my Masters in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University and an Bachelors in Agricultural Science from Cornell University.
I love all things academia but in particular, the Sciences, English, and writing. Working with students to find confidence in their own voice and style as a writer is particularly rewarding and fun for me. During my own education in a variety of learning environments, I discovered that there is more than own way to learn. As a tutor, I use this knowledge to help foster and challenge students to succeed in the classroom.
