As someone passionate about learning, I have always loved being a student. Albert Einstein's quotation "Any fool can know. The point is to understand" has been a guiding mantra for me throughout my education.
After graduation from Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, I attended Cornell University where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Animal Science. During my time in college, I participated in a wide range of activities, worked on organic farms, played Club Volleyball, sang in an A Cappella group, and studied in Lyon, France for seven months. Upon graduating in 2013, I moved to Boston where I worked as a Birth Doula for Brigham and Woman's and Massachusetts General Hospitals. I have recently moved back to the Baltimore area to pursue a Masters in Midwifery and Public Health at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
I love all things academia but in particular, the Sciences, English, and writing. Working with students to find confidence in their own voice and style as a writer is particularly rewarding and fun for me. During my own education in a variety of learning environments, I discovered that there is more than own way to learn. As a tutor, I use this knowledge to help foster and challenge students to succeed in the classroom.
