I recently graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in English. I worked as a tutor with the Athletic Study Center throughout my time at Cal, tutoring elite athletes in every subject. During the summers, I was the lead Statistics teacher for the football team and worked as a peer advisor for the incoming college athletes to prepare them for the rigors of college. I have tutored psychology, math up to calculus 2, philosophy, and have a deep passion for tutoring writing and reading comprehension. I help students break down the writing process into a linear algorithm, with an emphasis in structure and thesis building. I believe in the development of a strong base of knowledge and love for learning. I am currently woking with middle school students at St. Paul's school to create educational profiles in the process of streamlining the educational and tutorial system. I graduated high school Valedictorian. I rowed in college for 4 years and am an NCAA champion, as well as a 1st team All-Academic. I also threw the hammer on the track and field team at Cal and won a Varsity letter. I played bass in the San Francisco Youth Orchestra, then in the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra. I enjoy surfing, writing poetry, lifting weights, sewing costumes, baking personalized cakes, and reading.
