Now a graduate student at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, my undergraduate degree is from the University of Notre Dame, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a second major in Theology. For the past two years, I have been teaching Advanced Placement Biology, College-Prep Biology, and Theology at a high school in Tampa, FL, while earning my Masters of Education from the University of Notre Dame. I believe in challenging my students to develop a strong work ethic and independent problem-solving skills, and my favorite part of teaching is finding creative and exciting ways to present difficult topics to students of all abilities. While I tutor a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology, essay writing, and test preparation – my AP Biology students earned a 91% passage rate on the 2014 exam! I enjoy helping my students discover the wonder inherent in science and working alongside them to hone the critical thinking and writing skills that will guarantee their success in college and beyond. In my spare time, I love reading anything from essays on evolutionary biology to classic novels, biking and running in the great outdoors, and cooking Thai food for my friends.
