I received my Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Teaching as well as my Teaching Credential in Secondary Social Science at the University of Southern California (USC). My experience in education ranges from tutoring in AVID programs, volunteer in a middle school history class, and even as en English instructor in Shanghai, China! My favorite subjects are history, government, Spanish, and writing because I find them most relevant to my life. I am a native Spanish speak with academic Spanish experience as well. My philosophy of teaching is to engage student learning in the material while also developing critical thinking skills. I consider myself to be a life-long learner who loves to discover new things and I hope to pass on that passion to my students. Outside of the classroom, I love to spend time outside on hikes, walking through parks, or playing at the beach!
