My greatest concern is that the student understands the material. To simply get by in class, (especially mathematics), will create more problems in future classes. Math and science are all interconnected, and I place great emphasis on a strong foundation of knowledge thus making the "long run" much easier for the student. I also believe in making math and science fun. Positive reinforcement is the best way to learn theses subjects. If the student experiences fear and panic at the thought of these classes the information will never stick. While stress has its place in learning and creating a long term ability to recall the information, the learning part should be like playing. Tests are in my opinion are where the solidification for long term knowledge should come from.
I received my first degree in Acting from the University of Utah. My second degree In Electrical Engineering will be completed at the University of Long Beach.
I maintain a 4.0 GPA in all subjects.
I have worked with students from the age of 8-40 and I can proudly say each have show improvement in their knowledge base.
I have experience in tutoring math, physics, acting, and creative writing. I love to teach each of theses subjects. Each of these subjects, in my opinion, really add to the enrichment of the wold as we know it.
Aside from the world of academia, I love to be active. My most recent obsession is rock climbing. I enjoy the challenge and thrill of hanging from a rope hundreds of feet from the ground.
