After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Mathematics and Secondary Education, I began my teaching career in Anne Arundel County. For four years I was a high school math teacher, covering a range of subjects to students in all grades, and I loved it. Though wanting to broaden my impact, I took a sabbatical from the classroom to go back to school. I recently graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education where I received my Ed.M in School Leadership. I have always been passionate about education and love instilling that passion in others both in and outside of the classroom. The best part of my job, and why I love teaching, is that moment when a student finally grasps a concept they were previously struggling with and feels good about math. I love helping students recognize and access their own academic capabilities and firmly believe that all students can learn. While I am a certified math teacher and can teach all subjects, my favorite subjects are Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, and IB Math Studies. In my spare time, I love to cook, read, go running, and be outside. But once fall arrives, I’m definitely watching the Ravens and the Oregon Ducks play football!
