I am a graduate of the University of California, Irvine with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior, with a minor in Education. I recently completed a teacher credential program through California State University, Fullerton and am currently credentialed in Multiple Subjects as an Education Specialist for students with Mild/Moderate disabilities. Beginning in June of 2014, I entered a Masters program through CSUF with the anticipated graduation date of May 2016 with my M.A. in Special Education. I have extensive tutoring experience, working with K-12th grade students through KidWorks, an after-school program for at-promise youth and children in Santa Ana, CA. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Writing and Composition, and Math (for K-8th grade students). My philosophy regarding education focuses on helping students to discover and develop their unique academic strengths and personal gifts. I believe that education has the power to transcend boundaries and limits, regardless of personal challenges. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books from various genres, photography, exploring new restaurants, and watching sports.
