I am an aspiring physician and a graduate of California State University. I received B.S in Biology-physiology and a A.A in Chemistry, with another A.A in Natural Science and Mathematics from Irvine Valley College. I worked in both a Neuro-biology and biochemistry lab for over two years while in school, and I am still attending the biochemistry research lab where I work on functionalized gold nano-particle cancer therapeutics. I have over four years of tutoring experience in the STEMS (science and mathematics) fields. As a volunteer tutor, I helped college students in mathematics at Irvine Valley College, and helped college students in physics, chemistry, and biology at CSULB and UCI. As a tutor, I helped disadvantaged kids which was a inspiring experience. I have also worked as a tutor for high school students in A.P courses such as Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Although I love all science, I am most passionate about Chemistry and Biology. I believe free minds (without pressure) have an advantage in thinking creatively, thus enabling innovation. I encourage my students to ask one simple question: 'Why?'. Repetitive use of the question on any single component, will lead to curiosity, which is the key ingredient in learning.
Currently, I spend my time volunteering at local healthcare associations and hospitals and conducting research while I prepare for the start of my studies as a M.D. medical student at Baylor College of Medicine. In my free time, I play guitar and watch a lot of movies with my dog and fiance.
