I am a graduate of California State University, Fullerton. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with an emphasis on U.S. History. I received my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science from CSUF. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Arts, History program at Fullerton. My concentration is U.S. History, Gender, and Culture. I work during the school year as a full-time substitute teacher, and I have experience working with students in grades K-12. I also participated in a History mentoring program at CSUF, helping college juniors develop their historiographical reading and writing skills. I am credentialed to teach World and U.S. History, including AP, as well as Economics, Government, Geography, Political Science, and Psychology. My favorite subject, and the one that I am most passionate about, is U.S. History. I love discovering the histories of all of the people who make up the American story. I believe in helping each student discover their own individual learning style and needs, and we work to develop strengths and skills. I have experience in helping students make significant strides in critical analysis, critical reading, and the development of writing skills. I am a life long learner, and I bring that enthusiasm for learning and personal development to my students. I am an avid reader and I love to watch historical documentaries. I also love to travel! My favorite summer activity is to visit National Parks and Monuments.
