I am a recent graduate of San Francisco State University, where I got my Master's degree in History, with an emphasis on gender and race in 20th century America. I received my Bachelor's degree from UC-Berkeley in 2008, where I majored in American History and minored in Gender and Women's Studies. In between undergraduate and graduate school, I was the Assistant Director of a tutoring company in Wisconsin for three years, where I tutored students of all ages in a variety of subjects, including test prep, math (through advanced algebra), writing, reading, phonics, and study skills. I continued tutoring while getting my Masters, working with undergraduate and graduate students on writing, reading, and study skills. While I've tutored most subjects, I especially enjoy tutoring History, as that is my true passion, and writing. I am a firm believer in the importance of critical thinking and aim to challenge students so that they can become confident learners. In my spare time, I am usually reading or being active - whether outside or at the gym.
