I received my degree at the University of California, San Diego. I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a specialization in Astrophysics, minoring in Philosophy. Last summer, I worked as an instructor at the Elementary Institute of Science in downtown San Diego. Here I created my own curriculum, designed my own experiments, and lead groups of 8-15 year olds in learning the fundamentals of Physics. This position allowed me flesh out my understanding of the principles of both teaching and how Physics can be taught. Many students are intimidated by math and physics so I strive to make the content as digestible and accessible. Helping students learn the essentials of math and physics is important to me as it allows for a greater base to which to establish success in other sciences and subjects. In my spare time, I enjoy playing chess, listening to the latest music, and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
