I attended California State University, Long Beach and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistics and Language Acquisition. My experience has been in tutoring and teaching Fundamentals of the Spanish Language and Culture in the elementary and middle school settings. Being a native Spanish speaker has provided me with the opportunity to share my strengths in the history and culture, as well as the challenges of grammar. Latin America is a diverse place with different customs and accents, but it is united by one beautiful language.
I plan to get my Master’s degree in Counseling, so that I can guide and strategize with students to make great decisions during their high school experience, becoming college bound, and in life skills
Traveling to Paris, Rome, and Madrid opened my eyes to appreciate other cultures and I cannot wait to visit other places in the near future. In my spare time I enjoy traveling the California coast and exploring the various California beaches and hiking the Griffith Park trails.
