I am a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I am currently taking a few years off from school so that I can work my way towards medical school to become a physician. I have had the distinct pleasure of teaching various sciences and math subjects including Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry, and various Biology subjects. My favorite subjects to teach, however, are Biology related topics like Cell Biology, Physiology, Microbiology, and Genetics. I enjoy these subjects because I find the mechanisms of how the body and cells work truly intriguing. From my experience in teaching students of all ages, I believe that one of the most effective ways to teach others is by instilling in them a desire to learn and an interest in the subject matter. I strongly believe in the value of a good education and also try to help my students become more enthusiastic and appreciative of the importance of math and science. I have not only excelled in these subjects but I am also very passionate about learning more about these topics and their everyday applications. One of my favorite pastime hobbies is playing various musical instruments including guitar, drums, and bass, and I am currently learning how to play the piano and the ukulele. I also enjoy watching movies, hiking, and playing basketball.
