I am a graduate of Colorado Christian University earning a Master's degree in Education. I also hold degrees in Ethnic Studies and Spanish. I have been in education for twenty-two years teaching K-12 and college. My passions are cultural studies, languages: English, Spanish and English as a Second Language. While I enjoy classroom teaching, I particularly love tutoring students because of the one-on-one learning opportunities. I also enjoy connecting individuals learning style and specific learning needs to the specific lessons we are working on. My tutoring philosophy is that I meet you right where you are and guide you to the next level. It is important to make learning fun and relevant. My strength is to know my student well enough to foster a connection with languages, while using topics interesting enough for engagement. I am a life-long learning and hope to impart that same philosophy onto my students. In my spare time I enjoy reading, creative writing, exercise, and spending time with my family. This July I plan to prepare for my first half-marathon (maybe a full-marathon). I also enjoy attending car shows and cultural community events with my husband.
