I am originally from California, and moved to New York City for school. I received my undergraduate degree from U.C. San Diego, majoring in General Biology and minoring in Political Science. As a junior, I studied abroad in Italy for a year, learning to speak Italian, and travel around Europe. I recently received my Master's degree from New York University in Environmental Education. I love teaching about the natural environment, and a love working with children of all ages. I have taught about environmental topics for the National Park Service, at the Aquarium of the Bay, and now at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Additionally, I have tutored middle school students in math, reading, and science, and adult English Language Learners in business English. Outside of work, I am an avid runner (having completed a marathon), practice yoga, read and enjoy the arts, and love animals.
