I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. I will apply to graduate school for Physics in the fall. I have worked as a tutor for more than two and a half years -- first as a full-time math tutor for a year between high school and college, and then as a part-time math and physics tutor throughout my undergraduate career. I specialize in tutoring high school Mathematics, such as Geometry, Algebra, Pre-calculus, Statistics and Calculus, as well as Advanced Placement Physics. In addition, I have significant experience tutoring students in lower division college mathematics courses like Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, as well as lower division Physics.

I am passionate about math and physics and enjoy sharing my excitement about these subjects with my students. I find that many students shy away from the core concepts in physics and, preferring instead to learn only the specific problems assigned. This can result in the confusion when the student is confronted with a new problem. For this reason, I first ensure that the student grasps the basic concepts, and I then illustrate the concepts with a variety of examples. Learning in this way leads to a more thorough understanding of the subject and gives the student the confidence necessary to excel on exams.

In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and drumming with my friends. I also love to read, watch movies, and listen to music. I especially admire the work of Kurt Vonnegut, Quentin Tarantino, and the Libertines.
