I am a Los Angeles native who completed a B.A. in History at Cal Poly Pomona and then went on to complete a PhD in History at Washington University in St. Louis. I have taught European and World history at universities in California and Pennsylvania. I love studying history, because it transports me to past worlds very different from our own and also helps me understand how our world of today came into being. Writing is an important part of doing history, so I tutor writing as well as history. Having taught at universities, I know that strong writing skills are the keys to succeeding at that level. As a writing tutor, I will work patiently to teach my student how to write a clear, organized, and well-argued paper on any subject. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking and watching the Lakers.
