I have a Doctorate in Physics from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor's Degree from a liberal arts college in Ohio. I taught the equivalent of AP Physics at Cornell University, college physics as an Assistant Professor at Miami University in Ohio, and electrical engineering at San Diego State University. I have a broad industrial experience, from lasers to satellite thrusters, with a history of successful work with both technical and non-technical coworkers. Throughout my experience, I have enjoyed working with younger staff. I enjoyed helping them work through analysis and experiments, explaining the physics in terms which connect to their experience. I believe that connection is key to successful tutoring the physics must connect to the student's interests and skill set. The tutor should engage the student's interest, help them utilize their strengths, and compensate for their weakness.
