I teach my students how to learn and think and really understand the underlying concepts rather than having them simply memorize answers. My creativity, patience and enthusiasm make me a great tutor.
I have extensive experience in K-12 education, mainly working with k-8 students in all subjects.
For grades 6-college, I specialize in Spanish Language and Literature of all levels along with Reading and Writing in English. I also teach study skills, test prep, and other subjects.
I am a visiting assistant professor at Oberlin College. I received a Fulbright Grant in 2012 to do research in Spain. I currently reside in Albuquerque, NM. I have worked in education for 10 years, as an educational assistant, teaching artist, substitute teacher, and tutor.
When not tutoring, I can usually be found at the dance studio rehearsing, teaching or taking dance class. I dance in a professional flamenco company. I also love crafts, from sewing to making jewelry, I love any creative endeavor!
