I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Anthropology. Soon after, I spent a year in Chile teaching English to college students. I realized that teaching was my passion and decided to go back to school to pursue my Master's degree in TESOL from San Jose State University. I have experience tutoring and mentoring people of all ages and from all walks of life, from children in an after-school program to adult immigrants learning English. I love tutoring because I can focus on a single student and really cater to their learning style and interests. My goal when tutoring is to provide students with confidence and motivation that they can carry with them beyond the time we spend together. I tutor many subjects but especially enjoying working on English and Spanish. In my free time, I love hiking, traveling, and salsa dancing.
