My professional interests lie in surgery, clinical research, and education. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California Riverside. After I graduated from Northwestern University School of Medicine, I completed part of my General Surgery Residency Training at the State University of New York. I participate in medical missions to third world countries each summer to provide healthcare for the people in rural villages. I continue practicing medicine as a part time physician at a free clinic in San Francisco. As a current research scientist in association with the Batey Relief Alliance, a nonprofit organization, I work closely with a genetic laboratory on clinical research projects. My teaching experiences include elementary level to college level as well as medical students. My clinical experiences have shown that I can multitask, work under pressure, prioritize, and solve logistical and organizational problems. These skills are valuable as a teacher, an instructor, and a tutor. I enjoy teaching and tutoring basic sciences including regular and AP Biology and Chemistry. Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, and Pathology are my favorite subjects. I maintain a balance between work and personal life; I am focused on my career, but my life is also filled with hobbies like reading, bicycling, running, and painting. I look forward to working diligently with you.
