I am a licensed teacher with over a dozen years of classroom experience. I graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in Mathematics and Government and earned my Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I began my career teaching an array of math and social studies courses at a large, public high school in California. I worked there for six years, providing a great deal of one-on-one tutoring to our at-risk population, mainly focusing on help with homework assignments, SAT prep, and college essay writing. In 2005, I moved to England and spent the 2005-2006 school year earning an MS in Human Rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science. For the last seven years, I worked at private, international schools in the London area, teaching a variety of classes from basic skills math to university-level Psychology, History, and Philosophy. I also tutored everything from ESL to AP (US History, Psychology, and Calculus). My students have routinely earned higher AP & SAT II exam marks in my subjects than in their other classes; I have also helped dozens of students in their college application process, many of whom were admitted to highly selective universities, including Harvard, Stanford, and Duke. I recently moved to Denver and am eager to work with students here. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, and watching baseball and football (soccer).
